How the City of Lewisville Used Everbridge To Improve Severe Weather Alerts

The City of Lewisville, TX—a suburban community of about 100,000—needed a reliable way to notify residents about emergencies, severe weather, public safety incidents and routine community messages, but faced low subscription rates and difficulty demonstrating the system’s value.

Lewisville deployed Everbridge’s “Lewisville Citizen Alert” and ran a focused awareness and opt-in campaign (landline PSAs, apartment outreach, fliers, posters, billboards, digital media and IT-driven contact syncing). The effort supported weather, public-safety and service notifications and produced a 262% increase in resident opt-ins in under a year and more than 1.8 million media impressions, while enabling rapid alerts for incidents like rabies exposure and active-shooter drills.
