How Ricoh Uses Everbridge to Improve Critical Communication

Ricoh, a technology leader offering multifunction devices, IT infrastructure and cloud services, employs over 2,600 people in the UK, including roughly 1,200 field-based staff who often work alone in remote locations. The company needed a reliable way to maintain two-way contact with field and office employees and to ensure recipients could confirm receipt of critical messages after its SMS-plus-mailbox approach proved inefficient.

Ricoh implemented the Everbridge Platform, a multi‑modal critical communications solution with one‑page notifications, escalation and a member portal, which has driven sign-ups and internal adoption across HR, ITS and marketing. Early tests produced promising response rates, highlighted data-quality gaps to address, and delivered faster, broader engagement—helping Ricoh improve customer communications and support ISO22301 continuity objectives.
