How Pratt & Whitney Uses Everbridge to Improve Employee Protection and Life Safety

Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies company and global leader in aircraft engines with about 33,000 employees (roughly 9,000 across two Connecticut campuses), faced significant emergency-communication challenges across its large sites. During evacuations, severe weather, and other critical incidents the company struggled to quickly reach workers in remote or speaker-less areas, as well as union reps, contractors and visiting customers.

Pratt & Whitney implemented Everbridge’s Unified Critical Communication Suite to send multi-channel, protocol-driven alerts (text, email, phone and verbal messages) to enrolled staff and stakeholders. The system has enabled rapid, targeted notifications—helping protect people in basements or on roofs, keep leadership informed, and improve response and continuity during weather events and other incidents.
