How Morrison County Uses Everbridge to Improve Resident Alerts

Morrison County, Minnesota (population ~33,000, 1,125 sq. miles) needed a modern mass notification system to warn fire departments, first responders and residents about severe weather, missing children, shelter‑in‑place orders and other emergencies — the county had previously relied on VHF pagers and lacked a unified mass notification capability.

The county implemented Everbridge to send multi‑channel alerts (text, email and voice), built complete contact groups, and now uses the platform to page fire departments and first response teams countywide. The system has improved the county’s ability to reach large groups quickly, supports message templates and delivery confirmations, and lays the groundwork for expanded partnerships such as with Camp Ripley.
