Border States Electric Supply, founded in 1952, provides products and logistics to the electric utility industry from 62 locations across 16 states. With a geographically dispersed workforce, the company faced the challenge of rapidly and reliably communicating up-to-date information to employees during incidents and weather events such as hurricanes, floods and fires.
Border States implemented Everbridge’s Unified Critical Communication Suite and trained staff on its mobile-enabled interface and voice-recording features. The platform let managers send real-time alerts and personalized messages across phones, tablets and PCs—most notably during a Phoenix flash flood—improving incident response, keeping employees informed and helping maintain business continuity.
