A Everbridge Case Study
Garfield County Emergency Communications Authority faced a patchwork notification system—alpha-numeric paging tied to its CAD, a landline-only emergency notifier, and a call tree—that was becoming ineffective as residents moved to cell and VoIP phones. The Authority needed a single platform that could leverage its 9-1-1 database, separate emergency and non-emergency messaging, collect updated contact details, and integrate with internal systems and responder workflows.
The Authority selected Everbridge and worked with its Professional Services team to integrate Everbridge with the CAD, creating a unified emergency communications platform. Dispatchers now send daily alerts to first responders via pages, text and instant messaging, agencies use the system for scheduling and call-outs, and the Authority can track who receives and responds to messages—improving coordination, outreach, and operational efficiency.
