A Everbridge Case Study
Community Based Care of Central Florida, which serves more than 3,000 foster, prevention and adoptive children across Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties, needed a faster, more reliable way to inform staff, foster parents and partner agencies about critical events affecting children’s safety. Prior to adopting a critical event management system the agency relied on phone trees, emails and calls that were slow, duplicative and hard to manage during emergencies.
By implementing Everbridge as its communication hub, CBCCFL achieved dramatic improvements in timely information dispersion and reduced staff workload during events. During Hurricane Irma the system reached 100% of staff, foster parents and providers, resulting in 100% of foster children and staff being deemed safe within 24 hours and reducing phone-tree use to just 2% of the population served.
