AppRiver is a cloud-based email and web security provider serving more than 45,000 corporate customers from data centers and offices across the US, Europe, and Asia. With a large, distributed customer base, AppRiver needed a faster, more reliable way to notify customers about scheduled maintenance, outages, and service issues—email and a customer portal alone weren’t sufficient, especially when email delivery could be impacted.
AppRiver adopted the Everbridge platform to send targeted, multi-channel alerts (email, SMS, etc.), let customers choose notification preferences, and manage recipient groups quickly and granularly. The easy-to-use system and training shortened time-to-message, minimized incident impact, and improved customer confidence by ensuring critical updates reached the right people promptly—even during major outages and severe weather.
