Anderson County Expedites Alerts and Expands Reach with Everbridge

Anderson County, South Carolina—a county of about 205,000 people across nine municipalities and home to 20 international manufacturers—faced limited and outdated alerting capabilities. Their previous system only reached roughly 26,000 landlines, was slow and cumbersome to use, centralized contact management at the county level, and produced inaccurate data, compromising reverse‑911, criminal alerts, natural disaster warnings, and outreach to vulnerable populations.

The county switched to Everbridge, giving municipalities and departments the ability to manage their own contacts, improving data collection with Resident Connection, and speeding notifications with mobile features like FaceID, Manage Bridge, and message rebroadcasting. The move was completed in under two weeks, delivering a more intuitive platform, faster response times, broader resident reach, and streamlined emergency and employee communication.
