An aerospace company with personnel in French Guiana for a rocket launch faced rapidly escalating local protests that turned volatile, with road blockades and demonstrators targeting hotels where foreign staff were staying. Everbridge immediately coordinated an evacuation for eight people, deploying an advance car, two vans, bilingual drivers and three close-protection officers while monitoring the situation from its Global Operations Center. Staff were kept on secure communications, sheltered in the hotel, then discreetly extracted under cover of darkness along alternative routes to a pacified location that same evening and later flown out of the region, with continuous updates provided to both the personnel and the client’s head of security.
