WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue service, manages a huge volume of calls and rescue requests—around 170,000 calls a year and up to 400 requests per day in peak seasons. To coordinate its 2,500 volunteers and respond quickly to sick, injured, or orphaned native animals, WIRES needed a faster way to communicate and dispatch help. Everbridge provided the xMatters product/service to support that need.

With Everbridge and xMatters, WIRES implemented automated communications that streamlined volunteer coordination and cut response times significantly. The result was faster, easier rescues and better outcomes for animals, helping WIRES handle more than 77,000 rescue calls in one year while saving more animals.
