GetWellNetwork turned its biennial GetConnected Conference—focused on patient engagement, product launches and community-building—into a test of digital-first event design. The events team needed to replace printed programs, boost attendee networking and engagement, and integrate seamless gamification despite limited staff and a tight budget.
They selected EventMobi as the conference “brain,” using an app with built-in gamification, push notifications and live polling to drive adoption and sponsor interactions (including a branded Purple Pop-Up Shop). The outcome: 73% of attendees used the app, 88% of those played the game and 72% of game participants redeemed prizes; the move eliminated tens of thousands in print costs, strengthened community connections and generated higher-quality sponsor leads.
