Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games - Customer Case Study

The Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games needed a Games-worthy mobile experience for spectators at one of the world’s largest multi-sport events, and partnered with Eventbase for the official Pan Am Games app. The organizers wanted a solution that could serve fans across both the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, while handling schedules, results, venue info, and the wider PANAMANIA festival.

Eventbase delivered the Official Pan Am Games App, which was downloaded almost 200,000 times and featured real-time schedules, results, medal counts, rich media content, spectator information, and a seamless switch between Pan Am and Parapan Am branding. Eventbase also added engagement features such as torch relay tracking, a fan networking game, a crowdsourced light show for the closing ceremonies, and beacon-based sponsor activations, helping create a more interactive experience and maximize sponsor value.
