SXSW GO makes networking more efficient for attendees

South By Southwest (SXSW) needed to keep improving the attendee experience in its SXSW GO mobile guide while reducing friction around registration, session participation, and networking at a massive festival. Working with Eventbase, SXSW looked to make it easier for attendees to discover content and connect with people across the event.

Eventbase helped SXSW deploy an enhanced beacon-powered experience in SXSW GO, including more than 1,000 beacons and the in-app “Around Me” networking feature. As attendees entered venues, the app prompted opted-in users to check in and see who was nearby, making networking more seamless and efficient and helping drive new connections across the festival.
