London 2012 Olympic Games needed a mobile spectator guide to help millions of visitors plan, navigate, and enjoy the complex Games experience while staying connected in real time. Eventbase delivered the official London 2012 “Join In” app, building on its Vancouver 2010 experience to support schedules, maps, transport updates, and social sharing.

Eventbase implemented a feature-rich app with 40,000+ events, 40 interactive venue and route maps, live transit alerts, location-based push messaging, Facebook and Twitter sharing, and augmented reality features. The app was highly successful, averaging 4.5 stars, winning “Best Consumer Mobile App” at the Appster Awards, and earning praise for flawless performance during Games time.
