A Eurostep Case Study
Volvo Cars faced significant challenges in its collaboration with engine supplier Deutz AG due to incompatible processes and PLM systems. This mismatch led to incorrect spare part information, inefficient part replacements, and low order quality, hindering their joint operations. To address this, they partnered with vendor Eurostep.
Eurostep implemented its ShareAspace PLM collaboration platform to create a secure, common area for sharing product information. This solution allowed Deutz to publish structured updates and Volvo to distribute them internally, resulting in dramatically improved data quality. The implementation reduced information hand-over times from 1-2 weeks to just 1-2 days and yielded major time savings in spare part catalogue production.
