Case Study: The Royal Navy achieves controlled data sharing for aircraft carrier support with Eurostep ShareAspace

A Eurostep Case Study

Preview of the The Royal Navy Case Study

Controlled data sharing for the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carriers

The Royal Navy faced a challenge ensuring the long-term availability and controlled sharing of design data for its new aircraft carriers after the building consortium, the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, was dissolved. To prevent this vital information from becoming inaccessible, the Royal Navy partnered with Eurostep to implement a solution using the ShareAspace product.

Eurostep established a data pipeline to import all design data and documentation into a secure, standards-based ShareAspace repository. This solution organized the complex information, making it easily searchable and accessible to multiple internal and external organizations. The implementation by Eurostep ensures data continuity for the next forty years, provides controlled and secure sharing with support contractors, and guarantees that the closure of the original consortium has no impact on the carriers' support.
