British Arab Commercial Bank (BACB) - Customer Case Study

British Arab Commercial Bank (BACB) is a London‑based wholesale bank specializing in trade and project finance for Arab and Mediterranean markets. Faced with an aging, enhanced DOS front‑end that was costly to maintain and hard to upgrade, BACB sought a state‑of‑the‑art, scalable front‑office deal capture and position‑keeping solution to support growing FX and money‑market activity, faster execution, rapid instrument deployment and straight‑through processing. BACB selected Eurobase to deliver the replacement front end, siena.

Eurobase performed a pre‑sales study and implemented siena with required customisations and interfaces (including Reuters, EBS and BACB’s back office), covering FX and MM products, real‑time P&L, limit monitoring, position keeping and secure user controls. Eurobase delivered siena to specification and within budget; BACB went live in Q3 2003, saw enhanced trade and price execution via siena Gateway, seamless connectivity to major bank portals and faster STP of tickets, and continues to leverage Eurobase’s roadmap for further improvements.
