How HU Created 400 Digital Courses in Just a Few Months

Hogeschool Utecht faced an urgent need to certify and train large numbers of teachers quickly, including educators located 7,800 kilometres away on the Caribbean islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, and students in small specialized programs. Their existing SharePoint solution couldn’t support the university’s blended, social-learning approach, so they turned to vendor Eurekos and its LMS to enable rapid digital course development.

Using the Eurekos LMS—leveraging collaborative authoring, course cloning, universal updates, social learning features and mobile readiness—faculty produced 400 digital courses in a few months and 1,700 courses within three years; students completed online modules and met with instructors roughly every six weeks, and many graduates now apply the same digital lessons in their classrooms.
