A eTurns Case Study
Service America, a Florida-based home and commercial service contractor, struggled with an outdated ERP-driven parts process that relied on internal SKUs and manual data entry. Technicians frequently miscoded or missed parts, leaving truck inventory accuracy at only 35–40% (warehouses 73–75%), enabling theft and excess carrying costs. To modernize replenishment and tracking, Service America selected eTurns and its TrackStock automated inventory replenishment app.
eTurns implemented a rapid rollout—barcoding bins, training technicians and converting 100 trucks in five months—so technicians could scan parts and automate POs. The results: truck inventory accuracy jumped more than 45% (from ~35% to over 80%), truck stock levels fell >30% (per-truck value $20,000 → $14,000; line items 315 → 150–175), warehouse inventory dropped from ~$1.6M to $875K (>45%), annual carrying costs fell by $131,250, overnight courier costs of $250K/year were eliminated, buyer headcount went from eight to one, and theft was reduced — all achieved using eTurns TrackStock.
