Kamstrup’s Path to Sustained Excellence, With Reliance SaaS
Kamstrup, a 75‑year‑old provider of intelligent electricity, water, heat and cooling metering solutions, needed to modernize its quality management after years on an on‑premise ETQ Reliance system. Growing software dependencies left the deployment hard to upgrade and exposed to unpatched vulnerabilities; strict GDPR and IT security rules and initial resistance to SaaS meant the company had to secure broad IT and management buy‑in and follow a staged cloud‑migration plan to reduce risk.
ETQ led the move to a SaaS Reliance environment—providing an onsite consultant, building custom nonconformance and supplier‑quality apps, and creating a direct pipeline to development. Kamstrup went live in April 2020, integrated ERP systems in December 2020, and has about 25% of the Reliance suite deployed; users now access QMS via any browser (no VPN), enjoy simpler automation, and are progressing with ERP/CRM/ServiceNow and other integrations while preparing to upgrade to Reliance 2020 for greater security, scalability and mobile capabilities.
