Case Study: Zava (UK online medical services) secures Redshift pipelines and accelerates patient‑centric analytics with Etleap

A Etleap Case Study

Preview of the Zava Case Study

Zava delivers patient-centric online healthcare with managed ETL

Zava, a UK-based online medical services provider that matches patients to doctors using survey and event data on Amazon Redshift, was blindsided when their managed-ETL provider Alooma dropped Redshift support after a Google acquisition. With only three months to replace critical pipelines that power high-volume, patient-facing workflows, Zava evaluated Etleap — a managed ETL SaaS built for Amazon (Redshift, Snowflake, S3/Glue) — as a compatible, Amazon-native alternative.

Etleap delivered a fast, secure migration and an easy-to-use transformation stack: its browser-based Data Wrangler, Amazon-native architecture, and Python/custom-function support let Zava replicate their most important Alooma pipelines within days, run Etleap in parallel for parity checks, and conclude the trial in three weeks. The move preserved Zava’s Redshift workflows, improved handling of semi-structured/JSON data for future predictive modeling and shorter patient surveys, and provided more responsive support — securing Zava’s data pipelines as it continues serving six countries and millions of treatments.
