A Etleap Case Study
Invoice2go, a SaaS invoicing company serving hundreds of thousands of small businesses and billing over $1 billion per month, faced a fragile, code-heavy data stack (two Apache Spark clusters) and the loss of their ETL vendor (Alooma) as they scaled. They needed an AWS-native ETL solution to ingest diverse sources (JSON, Parquet, Postgres, webhooks), reduce thousands of lines of Scala code, and prevent schema-related data loss — so they evaluated vendors and selected Etleap (using Etleap’s ETL and Data Wrangler).
Invoice2go rebuilt ingestion with DynamoDB → Lambda → Kinesis Firehose → S3 and used Etleap to extract, transform, and load into Redshift (infrastructure managed with Terraform), allowing pipelines to be created in minutes and line-delimited JSON to be ingested reliably. Within six months they retired Spark clusters, implemented nearly two hundred pipelines, met a tight migration deadline of a few months, and enabled a four‑person data team to focus on analytics and product work — delivering stable, immediate data for product, acquisition, and executive decision-making thanks to Etleap.
