UCR Uppsala Clinical Research Center adopted Ethical eAdjudication® to provide Endpoint Adjudication Services

Uppsala Clinical Research Center (UCR), a national Academic Research Organization focused on clinical trials and quality registries, needed an efficient, quality-controlled way to manage endpoint adjudication for large studies such as the global THEMIS cardiovascular trial (17,000 patients) and other academic and industry trials. To meet that challenge UCR adopted Ethical GmbH’s eAdjudication® platform to handle endpoint assessments and submissions to independent CEC committees.

Ethical GmbH implemented a cloud-based eAdjudication system with integrated online tools, predefined workflows, and smartphone/tablet access so CEC members can complete assessments and manage all documentation 100% online without paperwork. The solution gave UCR a streamlined, audit-ready adjudication process with improved oversight of event status, submission and adjudication for large-scale studies like THEMIS, delivering clear efficiency gains according to UCR’s CEC team leader.
