Otomatica unifies 25 data centers and 120 MW of IT power with ETAP

Otomatica, an automation company specializing in critical facilities like data centers, faced challenges with IT/OT integration for one of its clients. Their customer needed a secure method to collect data from electromechanical systems that was compatible with corporate IT standards, a unified platform for both IT and facilities teams, and long-term operational support for their data center. To address this, Otomatica implemented solutions from vendor ETAP, including the ETAP Digital Twin and the ETAP Power Modeling and Simulation System (PSMS).

ETAP provided a model-driven, real-time power management system that was deployed within the customer's secure corporate cloud environment. This solution achieved full IT/OT convergence, delivering benefits such as improved operational reliability with real-time visibility and event playback, predictive maintenance capabilities, and enterprise-grade data management integrated with the customer's ERP system. The implementation by ETAP resulted in standardized electrical operations, enhanced decision-making, and a scalable architecture to support the data center's multi-decade operational lifecycle.
