Promise Homes grows resident population with Esusu

The Promise Homes Company, a leading minority-controlled owner of institutional-quality single-family rental housing, partnered with Esusu to help residents build credit by reporting on-time rent payments to the credit bureaus. Facing the challenge of improving residents’ financial health and access to opportunity, Promise Homes adopted Esusu’s rent-reporting service and mobile app to give renters a clear path to establish and strengthen credit.

Esusu implemented rent-payment reporting to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion and provided residents free access to their credit scores via the Esusu Rent Mobile App, enabling Promise Homes’ incentive programs (25 for 25 and the 700 Credit Score Club). The results: average credit score rose by 21 points to 623, the minimum score increased 127 points to 427, the maximum rose 13 points to 819, and 87% of Promise Homes residents improved their credit scores — outcomes driven by Esusu’s solution.
