Case Study: PadSplit stabilizes members' housing and boosts residents' credit scores with Esusu

A Esusu Case Study

Preview of the PadSplit Case Study

PadSplit and Esusu partner to provide rapid relief for members

PadSplit, a mission-driven shared-housing marketplace that has served more than 4,000 residents, faced acute financial instability among members when COVID-19 caused widespread job losses for many frontline workers. To help members stay housed and rebuild financial stability, PadSplit partnered with Esusu and adopted Esusu’s Rent Relief and rent reporting services.

Esusu deployed 0% interest Rent Relief—$46,000 awarded to 56 members—and enabled weekly rent reporting to Equifax and TransUnion so on-time payments build credit. The results: 88% of PadSplit residents improved their credit scores (an average increase of +48 points to 588), over 1,300 members established credit for the first time, and qualifying members can access relief funds in as little as 72 hours through Esusu.
