A Esusu Case Study
Amos House, a leading Providence social services provider, saw a surge in housing insecurity and service disruptions during COVID-19 (including 75+ unhoused individuals) and needed new ways to help residents rebuild financial stability. To respond, Amos House partnered with Esusu and enrolled residents in Esusu Rent Reporting (including the Esusu Rent Mobile App) to begin building credit through documented on‑time rent payments.
Esusu reported rent payments to Equifax and TransUnion and gave residents access to their scores via the app; as a result, average resident credit scores increased by 90 points, scores in the poor range (<600) decreased by 56%, scores in the good range (661–780) increased by 50%, and the credit improvements translate to about $11,000 in interest savings for residents—clear, measurable impact from Esusu’s program.
