Carr Workplaces, a Washington, DC–headquartered flexible workspace and hospitality company with 29 sites nationwide, had relied on DIY phone systems and in‑house IT but found that technology was becoming too integral and specialized to manage internally. To refocus on service and scale more efficiently, Carr Workplaces switched all phone systems and tech support to essensys and adopted the essensys platform.

essensys delivered a managed technology platform and support that integrates with third‑party vendors, enabling added services such as eFax, conference bridges and dedicated bandwidth. The essensys deployment improved reliability, freed Carr Workplaces’ IT team to spend more time with members, has been implemented in new building concepts (two buildings to date) and positioned the 29‑site operator to increase occupancy and revenue as it scales.
