Florida Property Appraiser Enhances Analysis with Data Analytics Solution

The Lee County Property Appraiser, the government office responsible for fair market valuations and tax rolls for Lee County, Florida (pop. ~770,000) and provider of roughly 550,000 real estate valuations to taxing authorities, faced a cumbersome reporting process that required multiple staff handoffs and slow GIS/map production. To improve collaboration and speed up analysis, the Lee County Property Appraiser turned to ESRI and its ArcGIS Insights analytics product.

ESRI’s ArcGIS Insights was implemented to enable iterative, spatially driven data analysis and self-service reporting, allowing staff to drag-and-drop datasets, visualize maps and charts, and drill into individual transactions. The change streamlined workflows—feedback cycles that once took days now take hours, single analysts can produce and respond to analyses without multiple handoffs, and staff can perform on-the-fly checks that improve valuation accuracy—resulting in faster report generation and better service to county residents.
