GTCbio, a B2B conference production company in healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences, used eSputnik to promote events to professional audiences across the US, East Asia, and Europe. They began seeing unusually high open and click-through rates in their email campaigns, but those clicks were not leading to website registrations, suggesting that security bots and firewalls were inflating their email metrics.
eSputnik analyzed campaign activity by domain, click patterns, timing, and user agents to identify bot-like behavior, then isolated suspicious domains into separate dynamic groups and filtered the traffic from reports. As a result, GTCbio gained more accurate email performance data, could base decisions on registrations instead of inflated CTRs, and improved follow-up by having sales reach out via phone to interested subscribers.
