MAPFRE, one of the world’s largest insurance companies, needed a better way to manage strategy and sustain growth after the global financial crisis and a series of major acquisitions. With operations spread across multiple countries and business units, MAPFRE turned to ESM Software and its Balanced Scorecard platform to build a corporate strategy map and align the organization around a shared direction.

ESM Software implemented the Balanced Scorecard methodology through its Executive Strategy Manager, helping MAPFRE cascade more than 30 scorecards across the enterprise, improve communication, and engage employees in strategy execution. The result was stronger alignment and growth, including higher revenue, improved employee and customer satisfaction, a 25-position rise in Spain’s best companies to work for ranking, a social responsibility award in Mexico, and a best app award for its digital services.
