Flexocolor, a packaging specialist producing around 50,000 packages annually, wanted to increase its use of sustainable UV LED exposure technology to improve plate quality and meet its environmental objectives. To achieve this, the customer sought a solution from Esko that would integrate with their existing prepress workflow and help reduce waste.

Esko's solution was the implementation of an XPS Crystal UV LED exposure unit, which uses dual front and back UV LED arrays to produce highly consistent plates. By adding a second XPS Crystal to their facility, Flexocolor, with Esko, achieved improved plate quality and consistency, significant efficiency gains, and a reduction in waste as part of their move towards 100% UV LED exposure.
