A Esker Case Study
Normandale Community College, a two-year public college serving over 10,000 students, faced inefficiencies and reliability problems with its legacy fax infrastructure—25 machines processing 750–1,000 pages monthly—after introducing Analog VoIP gateways. Frequent dropped faxes, slow transmission, high paper and hardware costs, and the sensitive nature of student and government documents made a more secure, sustainable solution a priority.
Normandale piloted FlyDoc, Esker’s hosted electronic workflow, and moved inbound/outbound faxing to department mailboxes integrated with existing applications. The shift eliminated multiple fax machines, saved an estimated 2,500–3,000 pages across six to seven departments, cut supply and maintenance costs, and freed staff for higher‑value work; the college plans a campus-wide rollout and systemwide adoption support through standardized legal language.
