Routing Field Documents Into Oracle Via Desktop Faxing

Komori Corporation, a Japanese printing-press manufacturer with North American headquarters in Chicago, needed to modernize field service processes after moving from a fragmented legacy ERP to Oracle. Field technicians still relied on paper service reports that were FedExed back to regional offices for manual entry, creating delays and inefficiency because Oracle lacked a simple digital-signature or document-delivery capability.

Komori adopted FlyDoc’s on-demand desktop fax service to capture signed service reports as PDF attachments that are emailed into regional inboxes and routed automatically into Oracle. The web-based solution required no fax servers or heavy equipment, was quick to set up, rolled out regionally, and cut document turnaround to about 2.5 minutes; today Komori handles at least 240 faxes weekly, improving responsiveness, accountability and ease of use for field staff.
