A leading U.S. fresh pork and processed meats processor was charged with drastically reducing paper use after weekly yield reports from 12 sites resulted in about 2,900 printed pages being hand-delivered to more than 100 executives. Management also wanted to speed internal communications, improve document workflow and save resources.

The IT team implemented Esker DeliveryWare (integrated with the company’s Laserfiche archive) to capture incoming PDF reports, post them to a viewable site and send automated email notifications, and to automate badge requests and other approval workflows. The change eliminated printing, delivered reports and approvals much faster, improved auditability and visibility of processes, and prompted plans to automate additional documents.
