Hero Spain, part of the Swiss-based Hero Group and a leading food-processing company, set out to digitally transform its back-office operations to support sustainable growth. Facing process bottlenecks from manual order handling—especially during peak demand—and a need to enable remote work and improve employee well-being, the company prioritized automating order management before tackling supplier and promotional invoices.
Hero Spain implemented Esker’s Order Management solution (deployed January 2021) to automate the processing of more than 27,000 annual orders. The result: order processing time fell from as much as 15 minutes to under one minute, 20% of orders are fully automated, 30% require no more than one or two adjustments, and teams gain real-time visibility via dashboards and live SAP simulation—freeing staff to focus more on customer service.
