Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union - Customer Case Study

Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union (FCFCU) is a full‑service financial cooperative serving more than 35,000 members across branches in Kentucky and Tennessee. As the credit union migrated teller stations from dumb terminals to a fully networked PC environment running Galaxy 2000 on a Data General host, staff—many trained only on terminals—needed a simple, stable way to keep productivity during the transition and to handle routine file transfers (including ATM reports) into the optical storage system.

FCFCU deployed SmarTerm to provide transparent DG sessions by default, easing users into Windows while preserving familiar workflows. SmarTerm’s stability, keyboard remapping, and simultaneous serial, network and FTP connections let technicians run multiple sessions, move files reliably (fixing date-format issues en route), and customize screens—delivering flexible, painless migration and improved day‑to‑day efficiency.
