As the credit union migrated teller stations from dumb terminals to a fully networked PC environment running Galaxy 2000 on a Data General host, staff—many trained only on terminals—needed a simple, stable way to keep productivity during the transition and to handle routine file transfers (including ATM reports) into the optical storage system.

FCFCU deployed SmarTerm to provide transparent DG sessions by default, easing users into Windows while preserving familiar workflows.
