GeniSys, a Toronto-based business process outsourcing firm serving North American life insurers, needed to speed up policy underwriting and reduce the time from application to issuance so agents could collect premiums and commissions faster. Initially they sought to centralize and automate faxing and routing from any host application; later they needed to broaden capabilities to cut paper, reduce manual intervention, and add imaging, indexing and secure file transport.

They implemented Esker DeliveryWare to centralize faxing and enable multi-channel delivery (web, email, fax, print, wireless) and later activated built-in imaging, indexing and file-transport features, adding an HP Digital Sender and a second fax board while integrating Exchange, OCR-to-TIFF conversion and AS/400 retrieval with dynamic VB Script indexing. The result: a 30% faster policy turnaround than the industry standard, fewer errors and less paper, scalable capacity for growth, and reliable vendor support.
