Carton Service, Inc., a Shelby, Ohio–based custom folding-carton and packaging manufacturer, needed to reduce document-delivery costs and free staff from time-consuming manual faxing after standardizing on SAP. Employees were spending excessive time printing, scanning and faxing purchase orders and invoices, so the company sought an automated electronic delivery solution.

Carton Service implemented Esker DeliveryWare to automate PO delivery (about 15,000 POs/year), e-invoicing and on-demand order acknowledgements, eliminating much printing, scanning and manual filing. The project saved about 6 minutes per PO (exceeding projections), reduced Days Sales Outstanding by 3–4 days, sped up collections, improved staff productivity and is being expanded company-wide.
