Ball Horticultural Company is a private, family‑owned leader in floriculture with a global presence. Facing an order‑to‑cash process overloaded with paper — nearly 2 million confirmations, invoices and statements mailed or faxed annually — Ball struggled with customers’ varied delivery preferences and time‑consuming manual routing and system updates for different contacts and document types.

Ball integrated Esker DeliveryWare with an SAP upgrade and its WebTrack Plus portal to provide single sign‑on, self‑service delivery subscriptions and online storage of documents. Within eight weeks Ball reduced mailed documents by about 8,000, 140 customers set up subscriptions, mailroom workload fell through automated merging, customer satisfaction improved, and the project supported Ball’s sustainability goals and plans for broader international rollout and AP automation.
