A ESET Case Study
Unigarant, a Netherlands-based insurer with over 400 employees that handles large volumes of sensitive customer data, faced poor protection and heavy performance impacts from its previous security solution. Its old system lacked rogue-device detection and produced a large footprint on networks and workstations — an infected PC from a USB thumbdrive once forced the company to replace hundreds of machines — so Unigarant turned to ESET when reviewing enterprise security options.
ESET was chosen for best-in-class client performance, ease of management and cost, and was rolled out across Unigarant’s environment (over 500 virtual workstations, around 200 servers and employee home PCs, 500 seats). The ESET deployment delivered higher detection accuracy, a smaller footprint and a shared local cache to reduce load and single points of failure, plus zero-downtime installation and simpler Remote Admin management — improving performance for 400+ employees and removing the need for specialist security staffing.
