SPAR, the largest private employer in Austria with around 35,000 staff (69,000 across its group), needed a more reliable, fast and low‑impact antivirus for its Windows servers, Citrix machines and heavy application servers after its previous solution drove CPU to 99% load. SPAR selected ESET—deploying ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 Business Edition together with ESET Remote Administrator/ESET Endpoint Solutions—to meet requirements for security, stability and centralized management.

SPAR’s IT team rolled out ESET across more than 350 servers in about a month using the ESET Remote Administrator console, enabling centralized installs and monitoring. Since implementation ESET has delivered “virtually no performance issues,” freed CPU time for applications and users on Citrix/servers, reduced operational costs, and cut daily review/installation time to roughly 15 minutes, improving overall IT efficiency.
