A ESET Case Study
Kenyatta University, a leading university in Kenya with about 2,100 seats, needed a centrally managed, host-based antimalware solution for its Nairobi campus and satellite sites that would run on both high- and low-end PCs and servers. The university required proactive zero-day and advanced malware detection with low false positives, an operational balance between security and usability, cost-effectiveness and free local support, and evaluated ESET (including ESET Endpoint Antivirus/Endpoint Security) to meet these needs.
ESET implemented its Endpoint solutions—ESET Endpoint Security on endpoints and ESET File Security on servers—securing more than 2,000 devices. The deployment delivered strong detection with low false positives, centralized management and excellent local technical support; Kenyatta University also saved money by extending the life of older hardware thanks to ESET’s light system footprint and competitive licensing, and reports high satisfaction with the solution.
