A ESET Case Study
Amber Pharmacy, a healthcare company based in Omaha, NE, needed a lighter, centrally managed endpoint protection solution after its previous Kaspersky deployment consumed excessive workstation resources and interfered with applications. Information Systems Manager Rob Else evaluated alternatives and chose ESET, selecting ESET Endpoint Antivirus (formerly NOD32 Business Edition) along with File Security for Windows Server, Mail Security for MS Exchange and ESET Remote Administrator to meet the pharmacy’s requirements for low system impact and centralized management.
ESET deployed the endpoint, server and mail products and used ESET Remote Administrator to push configured installs across sites; the rollout was smooth and supported by partner JCS & Associates. As a result, Amber Pharmacy saw immediate workstation performance improvements, discovered previously undetected infections, and realized about $1,100 in annual licensing savings, with additional benefits from easier centralized management and improved user experience attributed to ESET.
