Department for Education ensures business continuity with Escrow’s AWS SaaS continuity solution

The UK Department for Education (DfE) faced a challenge ensuring business continuity after adopting a SaaS data management solution hosted on AWS. Their existing on-premise escrow arrangement was no longer sufficient to mitigate the risks of relying on a cloud-hosted application. To address this, they contracted Escrow London for a new SaaS escrow solution.

Escrow London implemented a Replicated SaaS Continuity solution, which involved depositing the application's source code, database, and AWS environment. They conducted verification exercises to successfully replicate the entire application within their own AWS account. This provided the DfE with a fully functional secondary environment, ensuring seamless business continuity and the assurance of being able to access the application even in an unlikely release scenario.
