The City of Greensboro, North Carolina, which runs more than fifty council and committee meetings each year, was frustrated with unreliable legislative management software and declining customer service from its previous vendor. Looking for better usability, reliability and remote participation options, the City selected eScribe Software and its meeting management offerings to replace the legacy system.

eScribe Software deployed its Meeting Manager core platform (augmented with Report Manager, Internet Publishing, Webcasting Plus, Vote Manager & Request to Speak, Public Comments, Approval Manager and the Meetings Pro mobile app), completing the transition after a December 2020 contract and running the first live meeting with eScribe on July 13, 2021. The rollout surprised staff with its smoothness: 21 City departments now use eScribe, council members adopted the mobile app and electronic voting, and the City reports time and cost savings, reduced stress, easier drag-and-drop agenda editing, faster minute preparation and improved public engagement.
