Case Study: Airport Drayage achieves near-zero safety and compliance violations with EROAD

Airport Drayage uses the accurate data EROAD generates to create a safer environment for their drivers

Airport Drayage, a multi-generational family trucking company in the Pacific Northwest, wanted to move from a reactive to a proactive safety culture and reduce exposure to risk. To do that they brought safety veteran Larry Skoglund into the office and deployed EROAD’s in-cab technology and reporting tools to gather accurate, consistent driving data and support a driver-focused improvement program.

Using EROAD’s in-cab devices, Depot reports, leaderboard and safety scores, Airport Drayage implemented systematic coaching and one-on-one feedback; the data also made audits simple. The result: monthly events per driver fell from about 4.00 in January 2018 to 0.05 by January 2019, safety and compliance violations dropped to practically zero, and an ODOT audit found only an $8.64 discrepancy—so minor the auditor said they wouldn’t be audited again.
