Case Study: Latch achieves least-privilege AWS security with Ermetic

A Ermetic Case Study

Preview of the DOOR Case Study

How Latch is using Ermetic to automate least privilege in their AWS environment

DOOR used Ermetic’s cloud security platform to strengthen security across its AWS environment and push least privilege access as early as possible. The team needed better visibility into cloud identity permissions, risk from over-entitled access, and a more efficient way to review architectures, remediate vulnerabilities, and support security operations without adding process overhead.

With Ermetic, DOOR automated analysis of AWS IAM policies and permissions, generated least-privilege policies for CloudFormation and Terraform templates, and streamlined remediation workflows through integrations like Jira and Terraform. Ermetic also enabled periodic IAM audits and reduced the need for a third-party PAM tool, saving the equivalent of three to four analysts’ time and helping DOOR improve cloud security posture while cutting errors and dependencies.
