How IntelyCare used Ermetic to automate AWS IAM risk analysis & remediate in minutes

IntelyCare, a healthcare workforce platform that helps facilities manage staffing and connect with per-diem nurses, needed better visibility into the security risks in its AWS cloud environment. With a highly dynamic cloud-native architecture, the company wanted to understand over-entitled identities, cloud misconfigurations, and potential exposure across services like S3, EC2, ECS, Lambda, EMR, and Athena. IntelyCare turned to Ermetic’s cloud security platform to support this effort.

Using Ermetic, IntelyCare automated risk analysis across its AWS IAM landscape, gained granular visibility into cloud identities and entitlements, and used auto-remediation to remove overprivileged access in its staging environment. The company reported that tasks that would have taken two or three security people-months could be completed in minutes, with no business disruption after two months of using Ermetic’s remediation capabilities. IntelyCare is now expanding its use of Ermetic to other AWS environments, including Kubernetes and production, while strengthening least-privilege access and compliance posture.
